NBTA : November 2008
Excellence Awards - Honour Roll 11xx 00 You may not be aware but in your day to day activities as a business travel professional you may have implemented a procedure, product or service that has had a big impact on the way you or your organisation manages business travel. Thirteen years ago Qantas Airways and NBTA Asia Pacific (formerly ABTA) formed a partnership to recognise those buyers of business travel who excelled in the evaluation and implementation of business travel policy or an important component of that policy. In later years this included technology and the many aspects of technology that now impact our industry. Previous members who have won the awards are the University of Western Sydney, Aristocrat, Australian Federal Police, Raytheon and Parmalat Australia. You may not be aware but in your day today activities as a business travel professional you may have implemented a procedure, product or service that has had a big impact on the way you or your organisation manages business travel. It does not have to be a major transformation in the way you do business it only needs to be a better practice that has been recognised as a worthy contribution to your organisations management of business travel - this is your opportunity to tell us about it and be recognised! The awards are not only about savings they are about better practices that can often be implemented by your peers. You do not need to write a “best seller” only address the weighted requirements for each category with succinct and clear information. We do not require glossy leather bound books only information that describes your initiative and the impact it has had on your organisation and stakeholders as per the requirements. You can include tables and statistics to support your submission as we keep this information completely confidential. This year the categories have been clearly broken up into identifiable sections-for example you can choose to write your submission on the success of your overall business travel policy or a segment of that policy. This is the same with global travel management. Should you be successful you will travel to the USA in 2009 and attend the NBTA National Convention and Exposition experiencing a level of knowledge and education not duplicated at other conferences. You will also be given the chance to share your initiatives with other buyers to assist in the professional progression of the industry. Go to http://www.nbta.org.au/ Awards+for+Excellence/ to download an application form. Applications close 1 August 2008 Enhance your status within your organisation and take part in this wonderful career opportunity.
