EHA ANNUAL REPORT 2010 52 testo Pty Ltd FOOD SAFETY FEATURE Meeting HACCP Guidelines HACCP makes an important contribution to the protection of the consumer's health throughout food production, processing, transport, storage and point of sale. testo manufactures a wide range of certified and effective instruments for meeting HACCP standards. For infrared temperature measurement testo offer the 830-T1 and the 826-T3. The 830-T1 is a fast infrared thermometer with one point laser sighting and 10:1 optics in an ergonomic pistol design. It has an adjustable Emissivity Factor (between 0.2 and 1.0), fast reading and displays the current and hold values. The testo 826-T3 offers a quick non-contact and core temperature measurement in the one instrument. The surface temperature is measured with infrared, while the measuring tip on the penetration side is used to determine the core temperature. For core temperature checks testo offer the 103, 104, 106, 105, and the cost effective testo 926 instruments. The testo 103 is the smallest folding thermometer in its class. The slim probe tip makes it ideally suited for spot check. The testo 104 is the first water-proof folding thermometer. Thanks to its IP65 protection class, the testo 104 can be cleaned under running water. Its robust metal folding hinge and long, stable probe make testo 104 particularly suited for taking core temperature measurement in large and solid products such as meat or cheese. The testo 106 thermometer has a thin, robust measuring tip, well suited for fast core temperature monitoring in areas such as gastronomy, catering, large kitchens and supermarkets. The testo 105 is a more robust instrument with interchangeable measurement tips such as the frozen food "corkscrew" tip and is better suited for use in refrigerated storerooms. The fast-action, efficient temperature measuring instrument testo 926, has the option of a TopSafe protection case which renders it insensitive to dirt, therefore making it the ideal partner for large-scale kitchens, hotels, restaurants or the food industry. There are also a wide range of probes available, making it highly flexible.
